The 18th Western Siberian Archaeological and Ethnographic Conference “Western Siberia in the transcultural space of Northern Eurasia: the results and prospects of 50 years of WSAEC research” will be held on, May 19-21, 2020, on the basis of the National Research Tomsk State University.
The directions of the conference work are:
1. Methodological problems of areal research in Western Siberia and adjacent territories
2. Ethnic and cultural specificity and interaction as a text and context of a transcultural space: an interdisciplinary discourse
The long-term forum brings together scientists of Russian and foreign research centers, which reflect the general interest and relevance of the topics of our conference, nevertheless, Russia and Siberia for thousands of years have been woven into the global context of historical processes. Wide scientific representation provides an opportunity to meet the mutual need for the exchange of accumulated experience, opens up new perspectives in the study of the problems raised.
